　　卑爾根大學(xué)是挪威人引以自豪的高等學(xué)府之一，它創(chuàng)建于1946年，在1825年建立的卑爾根博物館的基礎(chǔ)上發(fā)展起來的,是全國建立的第二所大學(xué)（第一所大學(xué)是1811年建立的奧斯陸大學(xué)）。

　　現(xiàn)在是挪威規(guī)模名列第二的綜合性大學(xué)，在2021QS世界大學(xué)排行榜上位于194名。在2021泰晤士世界大學(xué)排行榜上位于第201-250名，在2021USNEWS世界大學(xué)排行榜上位于第166名。

　　卑爾根大學(xué)注重各個領(lǐng)域國際合作，被稱為挪威最為國際化的大學(xué)。學(xué)校國際化教學(xué)的聲譽享譽挪威甚至全歐洲。該大學(xué)與世界上的很多國家，特別是歐洲、北美、亞洲等國家已經(jīng)有超過30年時間的教育和研究合作經(jīng)驗。
