　　梨花女子大學是韓國首爾歷史最悠久的大學之一，建校于1886年，是亞洲AACSB認證大學之一。梨花女子大學原名梨花學堂，是朝鮮高宗皇帝和明成皇后為紀念當時首先在韓國開創(chuàng)女子教育的循道衛(wèi)理會醫(yī)生Scranton的太太而命名的，1948年改名為梨花女子大學。

　　本校的建校理念是“弘益人間”。為了體現(xiàn)這個理念，提出自主、創(chuàng)造、協(xié)同的目標。為了達成這個目標，各個單科學院以及研究生院的明確規(guī)定，并直接聯(lián)系到教育實踐和各種教育目的。本校的美術(shù)類專業(yè)在韓國首屈一指，在國際上也有很高的知名度。在2021QS世界大學排行榜上，梨花女子大學位于全球第319名。
