歷史
德雷克大學(xué)法學(xué)院（Drake Law School）由愛(ài)荷華州最高法院法官切斯特·科爾（Chester C.Cole）創(chuàng)立于1865年，迄今已有近150年歷史，為全美最古老的25所法學(xué)院之一。該法學(xué)院是美國(guó)法學(xué)院協(xié)會(huì)（the Association of American Law Schools）的發(fā)起成員，自該協(xié)會(huì)1923年第一次認(rèn)證開(kāi)始即被認(rèn)證，同時(shí)其是美國(guó)律師協(xié)會(huì)(ABA)認(rèn)可的全美75所白帽階層（美國(guó)法學(xué)院優(yōu)等生協(xié)會(huì)，Order of the Coif）法學(xué)院之一。
德雷克憲法研究中心
德雷克憲法研究中心（The Drake Constitutional Law Center）是由美國(guó)國(guó)會(huì)建立及聯(lián)邦政府資助的全美僅有的四所憲法研究中心之一。中心的任務(wù)是促進(jìn)對(duì)美國(guó)聯(lián)邦憲法本身、形成、根源、原則及其發(fā)展的研究。
作為憲法研究中心的基本組成部分的“德懷特·奧普曼講座系列”（the Dwight D. Opperman Lecture series）,該系列講座是全美憲法研究的重要學(xué)術(shù)活動(dòng)。講座由德雷克法學(xué)院校友、West出版集團(tuán)前CEO德懷特·奧普曼先生資助，講座邀請(qǐng)頂尖法學(xué)家、法學(xué)學(xué)者到德雷克講學(xué)。11位美國(guó)最高法院法官前來(lái)德雷克參與該講座，分別是：首席大法官羅伯茨（ Chief Justice John G. Roberts）,大法官布雷耶（ Jr., Justice Stephen G. Breyer）,大法官托馬斯（ Justice Clarence Thomas）, 大法官斯卡利亞（Justice Antonin Scalia）, 首席大法官倫奎斯特（Chief Justice William H. Rehnquist）, 大法官金斯伯格（Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg）, 大法官奧康納（Justice Sandra Day O‘Connor）, 大法官肯尼迪（Justice Anthony M. Kennedy）, 大法官鮑威爾（Justice Lewis F. Powell）, 大法官布萊克門(mén)（Justice Harry A. Blackmun），大法官阿里托（Justice Samuel A. Alito）.
每年度的憲法學(xué)術(shù)研討會(huì)（The annual Constitutional Law Symposium），也為德雷克帶來(lái)了全美頂尖法學(xué)家、法官、律師參與某一憲法主題的討論。先后參與該研討會(huì)的學(xué)者有：

德雷克法律評(píng)論是全美排名前四十位的法官引用最多的法律評(píng)論（the top 40 law reviews nationally for the number of times courts have cited its articles）。在該法律評(píng)論發(fā)表過(guò)文章的一流學(xué)者有：Erwin Chemerinsky, Cass Sunstein, Randy Barnett, Cheryl Harris, Paul Brest, Stephen Carter, Michael Gerhardt, Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr., and Stephen Rapp (Chief Prosecutor of the United Nations Special Court for Sierra Leone).
